I am running 7 Dell FX100 Zero clients in my Police communications center, I have 3 stations with 2 FX100s and 1 station with a single FX100. All of the settings are identical in the FX100 configuration, however, on one of the machines I keep getting a session timeout and it knocks the user out. I initially thought it was a bad FX100 so I swapped it out with a spare, same result, so then I looked at the network, I connected the affected client to a port that was being used by a working client, same result. I've looked in vCenter, recreated the pool for that workstation, but it keeps timing out. Now, this doesn't happen all the time, I can go weeks without a time out, but when it does happen, it happens frequently.
Any ideas on what could be causing this?
Here's a little info on my setup:
2 ESXi 5.x hosts with vMotion setup and a shared datastore located on a SAN
4 Connection servers (each group of 2 FX100 connects to it's own connection server because I use a software KVM that must be paired with a specific machine at that particular workstation in order for the end-user to seamlessly switch between machines)
Like I said, all of the other workstations work perfectly, no time outs at all, it only affects this single machine.
I'm at a loss, so any info or advice would be greatly appreciated.
