Hi all,
Some of our master images for our pools have lots of snapshots and I'd like to clean them up. The problem is, the last time I deleted a snapshot on a master image someone in the pool had logged out of the non-persistent desktop before I got around to recomposing the pool and when that desktop went to refresh it failed (because the snapshot I removed was in the path of snapshots leading up to the snapshot that the pool was built off of). Not only did it effect every desktop refresh in that pool, the error stopped the View Composer server on the vCenter server so NO more desktops in any pool could be refreshed.
So, my questions is.... what is the proper process for deleting unneeded snapshots in a pool?
