I`ve run view 5.2 as a pilot for a while now, and alot of our users are using Mac as the client to connect to our Win7 View desktops.
Previously we were using an old Citrix solution, and here we had no complaints about the keyboard settings on the Mac.
I.E when the users click the @ button on a Mac, they simply get a ' within the view desktop. Instead they have to use CTRL+ALT+2, and they are not to happy about this.
I`ve been trying a couple of things, and had some success earlier today when I installed the bootcamp software on a view desktop.
After this, it is possible to change the keyboard layout from norwegian to norwegian(apple).
However, if the same user would then connect from a windows machine, it would bug the other way around, and the user would have to change the keyboard layout manually (which is frankly not ideal).
Has anyone else got any ideas / experiences with the mac keyboard mapings on Win7 desktops? I`m guessing it`s not possible to detect what kind of client the users is connecting from, and then set the keyboard layout?
If it works in a citrix environment that`s about 7 years old, we gotta make it work here as well!
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
