Switching users to new Pool pointing to a new Image

I've created a new gold image (Image B) and a new pool (Pool B). The plan is to switch users, who are currently connecting to Pool A which is pointing to Gold Image A, to Pool B which is pointing to the new Gold Image B.

My question is how can I ensure that the users will keep their settings/config after being switched to the new pool (shortcuts, favorites etc.)?

Both pools have the same settings:

Automated

Linked Clone

Dedicated

Persona

It is the first time for me that I'm switching a whole group to a new Pool. So any additional information/hints are very welcome.
