I have a View 5.1 setup that has one View Connection Server and one View Security Server, with everything working normally for internal and external users. My view connection server has a cert from a local CA and the security server has Trusted Root CA cert. When I log into view administrator, I can see an error on the view connection server that says the following:
Server's certificate does not match the URL.
This hasn't caused me any issues because all my connections are coming in through the security server. I believe this is set in View Configuration --> Servers, both the View Connection server and the Security server have the same external URL listed in the HTTPS Secure Tunnel URL. This external URL points to the IP of the security server. Is this setup correctly? I don't want my Connection server to be accessed externally, which is why I put the external address for the VSS in the VCS's HTTPS Secure Tunnel URL. But when you do this, the certificate won't match. Should the VCS have an external DNS name and a certificate for it as well? Even though I want all connections to come through the VSS?
I'm looking to fixing this issue now (even though I don't believe it is harming anything) because I am planning on migrating to View 5.3 and didn't want an issue during the upgrade.
Thanks in advance for any advice.
