Hi guys,
I think I've answered my own question, but I was just a little surprised by the answer so would appreciate confirmation from learned individuals such as yourselves.
I wish to use the same 64-bit instance of SQL Standard to run the back-end databases for both vCenter 5.5 and View 5.3. Am I correct in saying that to do this, I would be limited to using SQL Server 2005 Standard 64-bit (SP4)? When using R2 editions of SQL, vCenter requires a Service Pack to be installed, whereas View does not not support R2 with an installed Service Pack. View also does not currently support any 2012 editions of SQL.
Any thoughts, advice or pointers would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
