Slow cloning/provisioning the View Desktop after upgrading the host to ESXi 5.5.

I just recently upgraded our hosts to ESXi 5.5 and noticed a significant poor performance during cloning.

It usually only took an average 15 to 30 minutes to provision a new image but now takes almost an hour.

My golden image is located in our SAN (Tegile Storage) and the provisioned desktop is located in the local FusionIO card.

I understand that the data needs to travel from the SAN to FusionIO card over the network but it just never this slow.

Once provisioned, everything goes fast as normal because recompose/refresh is done locally in the FusionIO card.

It's just the first initial recompose process that is super slow.

I have checked with Tegile support in regards to the latest firmware on the SAN and we are up to date.

I also have checked with DELL support (FusionIO came integrated with DELL PowerEdge server) and we are using the latest driver.

So the only component that's changed is the ESXi in the infrastructure.

As far as Hardware Compatibility, they are all compatible since we just purchased everything a year ago.

I'm just curious if anyone else here has experienced similar issue before I open a case with VMware to investigate. Image may be NSFW.

Thanks all.
