Flash URL Redirection - Adobe Media Server Required?

Hey,

I looked into the ability to redirect Flash based videos from the virtual desktop to the endpoints, in order to save some computing / bandwidth resources.

I could see Adobe Media Server being called out specifically as media source a few times in the documentation, but it is not listed as a requirement within the system requirements section (Documentation Center for VMware Horizon 6.0 with View)

Now I was wondering if Adobe Media Server is actually required or if any other media source could be used too?
