I keep getting "Active Directory host unreachable" when using the View 5 Administrator web GUI to create an automated desktop pool. There's nothing wrong with AD or DNS, from what I can see. Everything resolves OK.
I've removed my View Connection server from the domain then re-added it, no luck. Rebooted the domain controller, no luck. Re-installed vConnection server, no luck. Checked pings both ways, no problem. I even added host entries on the vConnection box, pointing to the DC (even though DNS resolves the DC just fine).
The Connection server can browse AD on the domain controller just fine during the pool creation process. For example, you can select the OU for your desktops to go into, etc. It's just when you click Finish at the end that it throws this "AD host unreachable" error.
This looks like a known bug per the discussion below. Other people had the exact same problem with 4.5 and 4.6, so it looks like 5.0 has the same bug. The thread below describes my problem exactly but gives no resolution other than "check DNS", which is not a solution at all.
