Here is a strange one. We have Win7 physical desktops with version 2.3.3 of the Horizon View client and Win7 linked clone desktops with Agent version 5.2 and connection broker ver 5.2.
When we connect to a VM through the view client we see this error (attached):
Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library
Runtime Error
Program: .....VMware Horizon View Client\VMware-remotemks.exe
Abnormal Program Termination.
If you close the error message box the VM disconnects - if you leave the error message alone sometimes you get a VM, sometimes you don't. I have 10 identical pools created from the same gold image - it might be that the error is only happening on specific pools but I am not sure, it may be all.
When I first deployed this gold image I got protocol errors in view admin console. I could successfully connect via PCoIP and Blast in spite of the error (we do not allow connections via RDP). I found to the cause to be RDP was disabled in the gold image - once RDP was enabled the protocol error went away.
A logical solution to the runtime error would be to re-install the view client and re-provision the pools. Tried reinstalling the client without success - will try re-provisioning the pools later.
My guess is that the issue is something on my gold image. Any experience with this error or ideas?
Thank you,
