I have an issue with my non-persistent pool, where frequently I'm greeted with the below message when VM's in the pool startup.
Message from host: This virtual machine might have been moved or copied. In order to configure certain management and networking features, VMware ESX needs to know if this virtual machine was moved or copied. If you don't know, answer "I copied it".
I usually answer I copied it. Once I do this, the VM will not get an IP address, because the network card will not have "connected" checked. If I try to check it, I will get "Invalid configuration for device '0'.
have to follow option 1 mentioned here (although the "cause" mentioned in the article doesn't apply).
All of my four hosts are exactly the same kind running, ESXi 5.1.0.799733
Last time around, I deleted all the VM's in the pool and recomposed the pool, but the issue still happens.
I know the workaround is to possibly upgrade ESXi, but aside from that, is there anything else that can be done?
Thanks
