Upgraded to 5.2 over the weekend, and honestly wasn't expecting Blast to be much more than a "here's what might be possible in the future" feature. I was wrong. Blast is a viable replacement for the full client, and to need nothing more than a stock web browser with no Java, no Flash, and no plugins is quite the trick.
Sure, there are some limitations - no sound, no printer redirection, cursors that don't change, limited clipboard support, etc. - but the performance is impressive and for getting someone onto a desktop quickly from any computer or mobile device with a decently modern browser, it just plain works.
Kudos to the Blast team for adding a really useful connectivty option!
