I inherited a very badly configured and barely working View 5.2 environment. I've been trying to fix it for the past few days without success (but I have to admit that I'm a VMware View n00b). I've come to the conclusion that I'd probably be better off reinstalling the whole thing from a clean slate and upgrade to version 5.3.3 at the same time which will let me use ESXi 5.5 U2. The installation is pretty basic (just the basic services + composer) but I'd like to know how I'll be able to keep the existing VMs (less than 10) and base images (only 2 of them). The documentation on how to upgrade assumes you have a fully operational View environment to start with which is far from my case so I don't know how to tackle this "upgrade/full reinstall". Any advice or tips are appreciated. Thanks!
