Trying to get an accurate answer regarding using SSL certificates. Haven't been able to get an answer from VMware.
Our configuration, two (2) Security Servers load balanced, configured using F5 Big-IP VIP pool. A URL is registered in DNS for VMware View Clients to connect to VMware View using this URL. The URL (or FQDN) resolves to the F5 Big-IP VIP for the Security Servers The Security Servers are each paired with a Connection Server. We have requested and received an SSL certificate from a CA. The certificate is configured for the URL (FQDN) assigned to the F5 Big-IP VIP. The F5 Big-IP VIP is configured to just allow SSL pass-through. Where is that certificate applied? We believe the certificate needs to be on each Security Server only. Is there any need for that certificate to be applied to the back end Connection Servers that the Security Servers are paired with?
