Hello,
So i just started with Horizon View so I apologize if this is a noob question. I wanted to test putting a security server in our DMZ but before I put it in the DMZ i wanted to test if the clients would connect on our network. So this is my setup:
VMware Horizon View Administrator 5.3.2 build-188719
Same version for security server.
Windows firewall is turned "On" on all profiles on both the security and connection server. (this might be important later)
Laptop with Horizon Client installed, Version 3.2.0 build-2331566
IPad Air2 with Horizon Client Version 3.2.0 build-2331566
On the View Administrator > View Configuration > Security Servers > Edit on the security server
I have the PCoIP Secure Gateway set to the IP of the Security Server (Lets say its 192.168.1.10:4172)
Connection Servers > Edit on the connection server
I also have the Security Server set as the PCoIP Secure Gateway (192.168.1.10:4172)
Again I wanted to test it out before I put it in the DMZ
So when I connect with the iPad, it works just fine, I can connect, see all my desktop connections, and connect to the just fine.
On the laptop, when I try and connect I get the logon screen where I put in my username and password (Correctly I might add ) and when I try and login I get an error.
"Error: Unable to resolve server address: The requested name is valid, but no data of the requested type was found."
I found the VMware KB article going over the issue: KB 2085365 (no help)
I changed the Secure Gateway on both the Security and Connection server to every IP I can think of but it still doesn't work.
Can anyone give me an idea what might be wrong???
Could it be my firewall on the connection server?? ( I don't remember if I had the firewalls turned on when I installed the connection server so they might not of been configured correctly when I installed it???)
Any help would be amazing!!
