Recompose Desktop Issue

Hello,

I have a situation with recompose different VDI pools.

I had to expand the hard drive of the existing parent vm.

Because the existing parent had so many snapshots, I had to create a full clone of the parent and then expand the hard drive.

First off the environment consist of the following components:

ESXi 5.0.0 build 1311175

vCenter Server 5.0.0 Build 455964

vSphere Client 5.0.5.0.0.37933

View Horizon 5.1.0 Build 704644

View Compose 3.0.0.691993

vShield Manager 5.0.2- 791471

VMware Tools version 8.6.15 Build 2495133

We have 8 different VDI Pools (Finance, Management, Customer Service, etc....)

Once I had created my full clone from the snapshots, I started pointing the pool to the new parent and new snapshot in vCenter Settings of the pool once you edit it.

As it says "Changing the vCenter settings affects newly ceated virtual machines only.  The new settings do not affect existing virtual machines."

I tried to recompose a specific pool with one specific parent and snapshot.  Worked Successfully.

I tried to recompose another pool with the same parent and snapshot because both pools use the same parent and snapshot and I was unsuccessful.

The error I get is: View Composer Fault: Could not find VC object of type Virtual Machine and id . Please check the master VM/snapshot or its replica for VM name.

Provisioning error occurred for Machine name: Refit operation resync failed

In the VMware documentation

VMware KB: View Manager Admin console displays the error: Error during provisioning: Unexpected VC fault from View C…

So although the parent and snapshot wasn't corrupted because I was able to successful recompose using the same parent and snapshot.

I deleted the parent and snapshot and recreated he full clone and tried again.

Got the same error message:

View Composer Fault: Could not find VC object of type Virtual Machine and id . Please check the master VM/snapshot or its replica for VM name.

Provisioning error occurred for Machine name: Refit operation resync failed

I was able to recompose a completely different pool with completely different full clone (parent, snapshot).

VMware thinks the composer server is under provisioned for resources.

It had 2 CPU's 2GB of RAM but I was able to recompose one complete pool with those spec.

But for argument sake I left it at 2 CPU's and increased the RAM to 4GB but still got the error message.

Mware Documentation Library

The case is still opened with VMware.

Please help!!!!!!!!
