Hello All,
I was looking to see if anyone has had any trouble with RDP connections with any of the recent Windows releases (in this case, Windows 10). The specific error message that I have been getting from our older thin clients that do not support PCoiP is that they're failing to negotiate security. However, when attempting to connect with the View Client, I get a couple of messages, detailed below.
The first being:
"The connection cannot proceed because authentication isnot enabled and the remote computer requires than authentication be enabled to connect."
Followed by:
The connection to the remote computer failed. There was an unexpected RDP disconnection. Microsoft RDP error code = 1033.
I have already gone into local policy [Computer Configuration\Administrative Templates\Remote Desktop Services\Remote Desktop Session Host\Security] and set "Require use of specific security layer for remote (RDP) connections" to "Negotiate".
Does anyone have any ideas on how to resolve this issue? Not sure if I need to contact VMWare support or Microsoft on this one. Agent, Connection Server, and Composer are all running v6.2 released on 9.3.2015.
Thanks in advance,
Benjamin Hoch
