We have been running view desktops with windows 7 X64 for about 3 years with roaming profiles and folder redirection. In the last 6-10 months we have started seeing this consistent trend of users logging in with temporary profiles and sometimes logging, waiting 5 mintues fixes the issue and then sometimes you have to completely delete the profile and start over.
The profiles are stored on a NetApp CIFS location using AD to point them there. The folders are being redirected to a windows 2012R2 server using CIFS as well.
We always see the issue at first login on Mondays for most users, but many are reporting getting the issue after locking their machines and going to lunch for 45 minutes or when they try and lock the machine and go login on another wyse.
Always when a user reports issues with their profile I see an oplock message on the Netapp for either ntuser.dat or ntuser.ini has timed out.
I see these an very large amount of these timeouts during the day but only5-10 ever truly report a profile issue.
we are on 6.0.1 build-2088845 and I wanted to see if anyone has seen a similar issue and can provide some ideas or maybe a direction to look in because Netapp is telling me this is entirely client side. Thanks.
