Hello everyone!
Yes, I know that there are many similar discussions about this topics. But anyway I could't find answer for my case.
I have already installed vSphere 5.5 and View 6.0.1.
Recently we received an two graphical blade-servers with GPU: AMD FirePro S4000x.
I we decided to use them in VDI in that way: on ESXi - vSGA.
Sphere 5.5 support an AMD FirePro and there is an driver for that GPU.
I could install it on server without problems.
Problem occur when I compare graphics capabilities between two virtual desktops: simple desktop which is on simple blade without GPU and graphical desktop which is on graphic blade server.
When I try to play an HD video on them - they are looked very similar.
So I don't know what a difference between them?
Yes, on the graphical virtual desktop in vSphere Web-client interface I have already turn on a hardware rendering and 3D capabilities. And on ESXi due command gpuvm I can see that a GPU was used by virtual machine but I can't realise a difference between two machines.
By the way: in graphical virtual desktop in Device manager in Videoadapters I see "VMware 3D SVGA" label that the same on simple VM without graphics. Why?
