I'm facing a strange issue with view clients authenticating to the server.
Situation:
View Connection server 5.1 in domain, smartcard authentication enabled. Forest has multiple subdomains.
Clients are joined to the same domain as connection server, connecting from both vista as well as win7.
Clients use smart cards to authenticate to their laptops by entering smartcard+pin. passtrough authentication is set on the vmview clients.
Issue:
When connecting to the connection server, it takes over 2 minutes for the "cancel" button to gray out and proceed to the dialog box asking for the correct certificate. Once done, it takes another 2 minutes to display the list of eligable desktops.
The connection to the virtual desktop itself works fine. In addition: once the authentication has been done once, closing the view client and immiediatly reconnecting works a lot faster than the initial connection. My guess would be this is though credential caching.
I tried limiting the search domains, even restricting to one domain. Log files don't show any significant issues regarding timeouts. How do I start troubleshooting this?
