Hi, my organization is looking to move to VMware View for 25 VDI desktops.
We absolutely need to record audio and do some Skype chats.
Within my view desktops, I can't record any audio. It's as if there is no audio patching through to the virtual desktop. What do we need in order to make this happen?
So far:
View Agent installed, works fine
VMware Tools Installed,
Windows 7 Professional desktops
Teradici 2 way audio driver installed, and the recording tab in sounds of control panel shows Teradici Virtual Audio Driver but the analog bar to the right doesn't indicate any volume.
Using HP T310 thin clients within the LAN with the VM Server, or View Client within the network on a PC that can itself record audio and had audio recording hardware. I would think the thin clients that have the audio jacks on the front would pass that hardware through to the virtual desktop for recording, otherwise what is the point of having them on the thin client.
Also, the View, VComposer, VCenter, VDI desktops are all virtual and there is no hardware audio device installed in the VM Server Host although the thin client should pass it's audio hardware to the desktop, no?
Thanks for helping me get this working or get some ideas at least. I've heard from others that audio recording works for them and don't see what I am missing here. Any advise would he helpful at this point.
