Time Zone in Win7 guest 'not recognized'

Hello,

first of all, I have to appologize, I fear that this is not the exactly right forum to post. I could not find the old VDI Forum for VMware View v4.6:

We are using VMware View Administrator 4.6, ESXi v4 and cloned Win7 (32Bit) clients. Our customer accesses the clients via XP / VMware View Client.

Our Problem is, that on a handful of clients the time zone settings are not recognized in Windows 7 Time Settings. Time is then -12 hours, time zone has to be set manually. Windows Time Service is activated, option 'Synchronize guest time with host' is deactivated in VMware Tools Settings for each machine.

.vmx-File:

tools.synch.time = "FALSE"

I tested around with Microsoft KBs and hotfixes regarding these effects on the physical Windows XP clients, with no effort. Explicit entries in the registry of Windows XP to set the defaults for time synchronization made no difference.

Also I tested with the tools.synchronize.tools.startup= "FALSE" in the .vmx file.

At the moment we use a local batch file to set the corect time zone after the login as a workaround.

Thanks for any reply in advance!

Mario
