I understand enabling the AllowDirectRDP GPO setting allows RDP connectivity via a non-View client. Having this setting disabled in XP did not stop Windows XP clients from connecting with the RDP display protocol using a View client.
It looks like with Windows 7, this GPO setting must be enabled for View connectivity, is this true?
By having this setting also enables connectivity via a non-View client (not good)
Has anyone else found a way to allow RDP display protocol with Win7/View client while not allowing direct RDP with a non-View client?
